The NDA – National Defence Academy is the Joint Services academy of the Indian Armed Forces, where cadets of the three services, the Army, the Navy and the Air Force train together before they go on to pre-commissioning training in their respective service academies. The NDA is located at Khadakwasla near Pune, Maharashtra. It is the first tri-service academy in the world.
NDA (National Defence Academy) Entrance Exam is conducted two times every year between the month of September to October and January to April by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission), New Delhi for unmarried Indian male Citizen whose age is between 16½ to 19 years & passed 12th Board Exam, (10+2) Pattern.

Applicants to the NDA are selected via a written exam conducted by the UPSC, followed by extensive interviews covering general aptitude, psychological testing, team skills as well as physical and social skills, along with medical tests.
About 320,000 applicants sit for each written exam. Typically, about 9,000 of these are invited to interview. Applicants to join the Air Force also go through a Pilot Aptitude Battery Test. About 300-350 cadets are accepted to the academy each semester. About 66 cadets are accepted for the Air Force, 39 for the Navy and 195 for the Army.
NDA & NA Age Limit: Candidates should born not earlier than 02-07-1996 and not later than 01-07-1999.
NDA & NA Educational Qualification: Candidates must be Passed in 12th Class of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University for Army Wing of National Defence Academy and must be Passed in 12th Class of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University for Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy.
NDA & NA Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on performance in Written Examination, Psychological Aptitude Test, Intelligence Test and SSB Interview.
NDA & NA Application Fee: Candidates need to Pay Rs.100/- in the form of Cash in any Branch of SBI or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India/ State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/ State Bank of Hyderabad/ State Bank of Mysore/ State Bank of Patiala/ State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/ Master Credit/ Debit Card. No Fee for SC/ ST candidates and sons of JCOs/ NCOs/ ORs.
